The desire to transform the nightmarish with science.

Sleep, dear reader, is the enemy. If it were possible to eradicate the need for slumber, stress would be reduced drastically. Yes, the majority find that sleep rejuvenates, that in moments of awakening worldly thoughts do not plague. Well, not I. This mind prefers to fill the dreamscape with taunting and horror, hosted by none other then mein vater. Curses, I say, curses!

It has been said that R.E.M. sleep is the mind's method of processing and handling daily trauma. That victims of severe distress are incapable of proper amounts of R.E.M. sleep because their minds are overloaded and cannot eradicate the anxiety. And so, these victims are trapped with their gnawing affliction which often transforms into a snarling depression. So perhaps the cure is merely forcing oneself to sleep at length, with monitors, so that one may awaken right after R.E.M. and never enter Deep Wave Sleep, thereby forcing the mind to undergo a cycle of Short Wave Sleep, followed by R.E.M. sleep, followed by awakening, and so forth. Sigh, the formation of theses to deduce a scientific method of control. She knows it shall never really work.
