The negativity that was childhood.

The memories sweep in without introduction nor announcement. No trumpet call. Plague the mind. Deaden the axons. Violence. Such violence. The yelling. The accusations. The broken objects, shattering and cutting the cheek. The intense crying. The post sobbing vomiting. The confusion. The talking to the wall. The processes of self mutilation.

Sigh. Memories of childhood.

If I bring a torch and a pile of warm blankets, do you think I could hibernate this feeling away?
